Victoria is an in-progress life-size sculpture, which I have been working on for many years. I hope to make this the most beautiful sculpture that I can possibly create.

She should be inviting, and almost saying…”welcome to my shores where you will find peace and beauty.” This sculpture is being created as a way to say thank you to the people of Victoria for the generous way in which they welcomed me to this beautiful place.

I originally created her for a competition in Victoria sponsored by a group in which I was one of the two finalists. In the end this group lost their funding and was not able to follow through with the installation of any sculpture. Although that was unfortunate, it has allowed me the needed time to make her even better!
 
This piece has required the help of seven different models; the primary model being Zoë.
